We are recruiting a Families First Clinician/Therapist (Full-time position)
Position summary:
Families First Clinicians/Therapists provide Intensive Systemic Therapeutic services to children and families involved with the Child and Family Agency. Clinicians address both the relational and individual complex issues that affect families simultaneously. Relationships, mental health, and addiction issues are all included. The service also includes trauma-informed therapies for both the young person and their parents, and it now allows for the inclusion of younger children.
Our team members come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including family therapy, psychotherapy/clinical/counselling/psychology, and behaviour analysis, and they work as part of a transdisciplinary team. Our Clinicians all work within the same scope of practise to help our families achieve their goals while using their own unique training, experience, and skills.
Experience working with families preferable:
The successful candidate must have a commitment to work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, youth and family development perspective and preferably have a proven track record of delivering highly effective work with complex families Experience working in health and social care, therapeutic or related organisational settings supporting young people with their mental health needs is essential.
