Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is a significant difficulty learning, understanding, and using spoken language. It is the most common childhood disability, affecting 1 in 14 children in Ireland, but most people have never heard of it.
DLD Awareness Day is on Friday 14th October.
The Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT) and the wider RADLD movement are working to get the message out there about this hidden disability.
